Why PDFs become too large
PDF files often become large because they contain photos, scanned pages, design exports, or repeated high-resolution images. A simple one-page form can stay tiny, while a scanned report or portfolio can quickly become too large for email or an upload form.
Most email services and application portals limit file size. When a PDF is rejected, the quickest fix is usually compression, removing unnecessary pages, or exporting images at a smaller size before creating the PDF again.

When compression is not enough
If the file is still too large, split the PDF and send only the pages that matter. For photo-heavy documents, reducing the original images before turning them into a PDF can make a much bigger difference than compressing the finished PDF.
